standard analyses
DNA sequence chromatogram

Standard analysis pipelines are straight-forward, involving set analysis routines. Manual data handling is limited and most processes are automated. All results are quality controlled and manually reviewed. Advantages are quality, speed of analyses, large-scale data handling, and high cost-effectiveness. Standard analyses are suitable for:

  • DNA sequence assembly
  • DNA/ protein sequence identification
  • gene finding and prediction
  • motif discovery/ finding
  • pattern/ repeat discovery
  • simple comparative genomics
  • DNA/ protein sequence alignment
  • phylogenetic analysis (evolution of genes or proteins)
  • protein sequence annotation and characterization
  • protein/ gene family discovery
  • structural predictions
  • microarray data analysis

The above list highlights the most commonly applied methods, but is by no means exhaustive. If you are interested in analyses that are not listed, please get in touch.
